Typical Christmas

Just before Christmas, everyone has already decorated their home, garden, and/or balcony in festive spirit,
but not everyone has their Christmas gifts yet.
That’s why we want to highlight some typical Christmas plants that we love because they make wonderful gifts,
even though they are not our products, we love all plants.

The best-known Christmas plant is the poinsettia, whose leaves resemble large flowers.
A few poinsettias in a wicker basket look beautiful in any home, and with the right care, you can enjoy them for quite a while.
The best care is to submerge them in water once a week so the soil can absorb it well.

Holly is a Christmas plant with red berries that grows in the garden. You can use pieces of it in Christmas arrangements,
or a sprig in a lovely Christmas bouquet also works well.

Then there’s the Amaryllis, a bulb plant with large trumpet-shaped flowers.
It blooms in the winter months and comes in various colors.
Combine it with a few fir branches, and you have a stunning Christmas bouquet.

Last but not least… the Christmas tree. It’s not a flower or plant, but the fir tree certainly deserves a spot on our Christmas list.
We’re all for reusing trees—Christmas trees with roots can be replanted, so you can enjoy them again next year.

Happy holidays and a blooming 2024,
On behalf of the entire team at Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten
