Bert and Gerry van Woudenberg started Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten as a typical fruit growing company in 1968 in Zevenhuizen. When a fire broke out in 1985, they commenced with the cultivation of garden plants; this turned out to be a positive change for the company. From 1990 onwards, the company has grown visual garden plants; a step-by-step process, leading to what we have become today.

The arrival of the second generation in the company resulted in a significant growth. This growth did not impact on the traditional values of Van Woudenberg: continue to produce high quality products, where every customer is important, and meeting the requirements of the customer is always our top priority.
