Giving Erica darleyensis the spotlight

Some plants deserve a little extra attention. Erica darleyensis is one of them.
This hardy winter-flowering heather brings colour to the garden from autumn well into spring.
While many other plants are dormant, Erica darleyensis adds a cheerful splash of colour right through to April!

But there’s more to this plant than just its appearance.
When the first bumblebee queens emerge in February, there is often little food available in gardens.
A flowering Erica can provide a valuable source of nectar. It’s precisely this early flowering that makes the plant so interesting for biodiversity.

A lovely reminder that a garden doesn’t just come to life in summer, but can have something to offer throughout the year.
At Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten, we love giving these strong, sometimes underrated plants the attention they deserve.
Erica darleyensis is available in our familiar P17 pot size and in P23 bowls. A versatile plant that not only brings colour but also contributes to nature.

Sometimes, the greatest value lies in the plants you might otherwise overlook.
