![Growing Season: Preparations in Full Swing!](https://vwtuinplanten.nl/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Groeiseizoen-Portugal.jpg)
Although it’s winter, we at Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten are already busy preparing for the new growing season.
But what does that actually mean?
The growing season officially begins when the average daily temperature reaches 5°C and stays above that threshold until July 1.
In the Netherlands, this typically happens around April 1 and lasts until the end of September.
It’s a period when plants grow, bloom, and gardens come to life!
Did you know that the growing season starts at a completely different time in other countries?
For example, in Portugal, the Christmas season marks the beginning of the new growing season.
This is especially significant for us because of our partnership in Portugal, where our plants are already growing under ideal conditions.
This way, we can soon provide you in the Netherlands with the most beautiful and strongest plants.
We can’t wait to inspire you in the upcoming season and help you create a colorful, blooming garden.
Let the growing season begin!
