Family company from then to now
In 1968 Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten was founded by brothers Bert and Gerry van Woudenberg, it was a typical fruit cultivation company from Zevenhuizen (NL). In 1985 a big fire swept through the company, at which point the decision was made to gradually change the core business to being a garden plant cultivation company. The percentage of garden plants that was cultivated grew steadily and from 1990 onwards only garden plants would be sold.
The next generation caused a lot of growth within the company and the company grew exponentially in size. The core values of a family company, as our parents always kept, have been transferred to us. We have clear views about quality, customer relationships and supplier-customer interactions. Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten is a big player in the market of garden plants with multiple cultivation sites in The Netherlands and Portugal.
We’ve continued the vision of our parents, we cherish the eye on quality and strive to deliver it to our customers.
Is that so special? We think it fits a company that has started as a family business and still is a family company today.
